Sailing aboard the Patagonia Express through the fjords and channels of Patagonia.

Puerto Chacabuco – Puyuhuapi Lodge & Spa
This route covers a distance of 110 nautical miles, which is travelled in approximately 5 hours of comfortable sailing in the catamaran Patagonia Express, through the Aysén Sound, Pilcomayo Channel, passing by Puerto Aguirre, Canal Moraleda Channel, in order to enter the Puyuhuapi Channel as far as the Ventisquero Sound, to finally arrive at Dorita Bay.

At 07:00 we set sail from the jetty at the Lodge in the catamaran Patagonia Express, to make the journey of 154 nautical miles (7 hours), sailing through the Ventisquero Sound and the Puyuhuapi Channel towards the south, passing by the Moraleda Channel and Costa Channel as far as the Tres Cruces Gulf, to continue sailing by the Elefantes Estuary to the Elefantes Point, from where we will start to traverse the River Témpanos, until we reach the beautiful Laguna San Rafael  with its enormous glacier. Then, after a stay of approximately 2 hours, facing the wall of the snowdrift and getting closer to the icefloats on zodiacs, the return journey is made by exiting through the Río Témpanos, in order to retake the Elefantes Estuary, then the Canal Costa to the Aysén Sound, after which we take a western direction until we reach Puerto Chacabuco, covering these 110 miles in approximately 5 hours
