Nestled in a quiet fjord and surrounded by lush vegetation, Puyuhuapi Lodge & Spa stands as a perfect retreat for adventure and relaxation. The lodge has a fast and extremely comfortable catamaran which makes access to this wild paradise easy as well as offering the chance to sail to the San Rafael Glacier.
Reception at Balmaceda airport. We begin our tour through the Aysen region, crossing Patagonian pampas for 45 mins to reach the city of Coyhaique. After a short visit to the city, we continue on, following the Simpson River until we reach Puerto Chacabuco (1:15 hr), where the PATAGONIA EXPRESS catamaran waits to take us on a 5-hour cruise through the southern fjords and channels to reach our destination: the PUYUHUAPI Lodge & Spa. Welcome!
We warmly welcome guests and invite them to experience the stunning wilderness of Chilean Patagonia, through different excursions in the Queulat National Park; to see the Hanging Glacier, a visit to the village of Puyuhuapi, and kayaking in Dorita Bay. After a day of exploration you can enjoy the benefits of the thermal waters and Spa. At night, we offer a Gourmet 5 course dinner, with a combination of products, tastes, textures and colors to try. At night, you must try the outside thermal pools in a place of natural beauty, under the Patagonian skiesAt 7:00 am we board the PATAGONIA EXPRESS catamaran and begin our journey through the austral fjords. The 7-hour route is a sheer delight to the senses: the transparency of the waters, the majesty of the Andes Mountains wrapped in lush forests, the play of light interwoven through the clouds, and sometimes... encounters with playful dolphins. Sailing through a number of channels, which leads us to the San Rafael Lagoon, home to a millenarian glacier. After a visit of 2 hours, we begin our return trip, arriving in Puerto Chacabuco around 10:30 p.m., where we will be transferred to the hotel in Puerto Chacabuco or Coyhaique.
After breakfast, we travel by bus along the route that follows the Simpson River, from Chacabuco or Coyhaique, and then continue on to the airport in Balmaceda (approx. 2 hrs.) Bon Voyage & Hasta la Vista !
